District 55 Club Presidents,

In any case, I ask that you simply forward this message to your fellow club members so that they are aware of upcoming training opportunities and other key information provided in this message. Lt. Governor Marketing
Division G Governor

Division L Governor.
The qualifications for these officer positions, which serve an annual term of office beginning July 1, 2004, are also provided in the Flash. The Flash is being posted on the District 55 website (www.tmd55.org) and will be available for download from that site as an Adobe Acrobat file (.pdf).
I have also attached the nomination form and qualifications information for your immediate use. Please share this information with all of your club members and encourage them to consider serving as a district officer for 2004-2005. In addition, the incoming District Governor will be looking for candidates to appoint as Area Governors in each division (29 AGs will be needed throughout the district) and for the roles of District Secretary, District Treasurer, District Public Relations Officer, and others.
Nominations for the elected positions are due back to me (using the nomination form) by January 31st. If you have any recommendations for the other support positions (especially AGs), please send them to me as well and I'll forward them at the appropriate time to the incoming District Governor. (The nomination form contains my mailing, fax, and e-mail information.)
This is the opportunity for members of District 55 to pursue district leadership for 2004-2005 and help the district support your club and all clubs in District 55 into the future. If you or your fellow club members have any questions about district leadership, please contact me.
The Time for Membership Building Is NOW!
We have all likely made some New Year's resolutions to help improve our life situation. As club leaders and dedicated Toastmasters members, we should also make a strong resolution right now to help others receive the gift of Toastmasters. We need to build the membership in every one of the 124 clubs in District 55. Our goal is to have every club add at least 4 new members between now and March 31st and then add another 4 new members between April 1st and June 30th. Every new member we add strengthens our clubs and gives another person the opportunity to benefit from the Toastmasters program. Remember your Toastmaster's Promise - to bring guests to club meetings so that they can see for themselves the benefits of the Toastmasters program.
I will be asking the Area and Division Governors to track each club's new member applications between January 1 and March 31st and report that information to me. I will have them ask each club for a copy of every new member application submitted to TI during that period. From that information, we will have a drawing and reward clubs with new tools to help them succeed. Look for a visit from your Area Governor soon and arrange with them how you can provide them with copies of your submitted new member applications each month. I look forward to see your (and our) success in membership building during this first quarter of 2004!
Thanks to all of you for helping your clubs fulfill the promise of Toastmasters for your members. If there is anything that I can do to assist your efforts, please let me or your Area Governor know.
Sincerely,
Tonia N. Ramirez, DTM
District 55 Governor
Fulfilling the Promise of Toastmasters
